Wisdom and happiness, The beginning.

This is not so difficult. Like many of you, I used to struggle with religious Ideology
I still find organized religions dangerous and immoral. I had to open my mind to the possibility that I could be wrong before I experienced a spiritual awakening.
Something was undone or unlocked which enabled me to step out of my ego and observe it from outside in a most revealing light.

The simplicity of all this is often overlooked, however it is said that if the student is ready the teacher will appear. The sooner we learn to think honestly, with our hearts involved in the process, the sooner we will be much happier. Compassionate and forgiving thinking comes from the heart where the ego can not interfere unless we allow it.

Our head is where ego thinking is generated, and with it comes resentment, pity, and pride.

With our heart doing some of the thinking, we begin to see another side of things. We will soon realize that friendships are more valuable than money. Some people die loaded but lonely, sad, and tormented by the things money can not buy.

But it's not just happiness, we will also find that we know the difference between our wants and our needs in a much clearer light.

This is the beginning of wisdom. When we have all our essential needs met, such as the company of others, food, shelter, and warmth, then happiness is as simple as making up our mind we going to be happy just for today. We can do it again tomorrow. That is not really a secret but it's not well known either.

We will all have some sadness occasionally, otherwise how would we know happiness was happiness?, it would be par for the course, however, we will know how to pull ourself up just by thinking LOVE with our hearts.

If you would like to be a much happier person I will PROMISE you do this thinking loving thoughts often, do it every day and your life will be transformed.
That's the promise and the secret. : ]

What can spoil things is stuff like fear, resentment, anger, lust, envy, pride, vanity. So I guess you should add humility to the list of ingredients for a great journey through life, a journey without a destination.

elicit drug use and excess drinking play a large part in stalling progress and growth, they should be avoided in excess or treated with a 12 step help program if repeated attempts at control fail.

I agree with you 100%. The power of positive thinking is enormous. "Reality is what you believe it is within certain limits -- and those limits are variable !

I am very happy to find this site, as you know I've been looking for exactly such connections. It's time that people who care about the fate of the planet get-together and do something proactively to bring about change.

There is only one question, Alexander: is what I am doing "giving" or "getting". I make that choice every moment. Most people go "on holiday" this time of year and I was feeling restless for a moment about what to do about the holiday, before I realised the source of my restlessness was "getting". The moment I changed that to what can I "give" the situation changed radically. I can go and work in the forests in the mountains right here. That way I am giving to nature and also enjoying the countryside. I do not by the way, wait to have my "essential needs" met before I choose to be happy. I amplify what I already have by the power of appreciation using inner talk, words and writing and, then I have more. That is the secret too: being grateful that you are already abundant, that you already have all your needs completely met. Christ: be as the birds, do not worry for tomorrow, love and do as you will.

What if all was an illusion? See "What the Bleep do we know" and many other sources which I will look out. The truth is, you are not your physical body. If you are, where are you in it? The source of change is inside our divine reality as twin streams of love, as masculine and feminine parts of the hologram of love. It is the so called DNA you have depicted here as the "spark!. What do you mean by spark? Spark is the divine masculine bolt that gives form to love energy as planets and galaxies. I am not there yet. I merely grasp the explosive truth of our real nature as twin consciousness, understanding it a little more each day, just a little. Most people look for this love in another person. We look for it in ourselves first. That is where we find it.
