- I was born and rised around the beautiful mountains of Thuringia near the castle Wartburg in Germany. I`m a blogwriter on Blogger, MyBlogLog , HubPages, OverBlog and others.

I´m member of the succesful german team DA0HQ.
This team had won 9 times the IARU-Amateurradio-World-Championship.
I´m involved in the US-countyhunter-program and I had won in the last 4 years the MARAC-Cup. DL5AWI has connections with over 2700 differently US-counties sofar.
I was member of some radio-expeditions around the globe and I´m member of the German-DX-Foundation.
